Lamentation for A Reasoned History, 2021

donated lace hand-dyed with cochineal insect-dyed, thread, paper clay, cast plaster. These works are comprised entirely of donated vintage lace sent to The Lace Archive. There are currently 3 works in this series

Each piece of lace is hand-dye multiple times with cochineal insect dye before being hand-sewn into the larger work. Added are ex-votos in plaster and paper clay. The work is site responsive and is adapted for different spaces.

Current dimensions of the 3 wall works range from 126" x 432" (approximate) to 252" x 126"
